Peptide are well known as a seed compound in the field of drug design. Recently, marginal science between material science and peptide science has been established and peptide based functional material has been received much attention for analysis, diagnosis and therapeutics. In Kagaku Kogaku, special issue on peptide science has been planned. Synchronized the special issue, the symposium entitled Recent advance of peptide science was proposed.
