It is necessary to design the future society, envision the necessary processes, and seek the appropriate elemental technologies to achieve carbon neutrality. The Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ) is working to develop and deepen specific case studies, technologies, and academic systems by strengthening cooperation with local industries and communities.
\n\nSince March 2020, this symposium has been held at both the Annual and Autumn Meetings. This time as well, on Friday, September 19 in the afternoon at the INCHEM TOKYO 2025 venue, we will host invited lectures and a panel discussion on energy and environmental innovation and its social implementation. In this symposium, we will present "Carbon Independence Vision: Circular Transformation from Hard-to-Abate Industries ver.3" and facilitate inter-industry discussions on the challenges we face in realizing this vision.
\n\nThe symposium will be open to the public with free of charge to all participants, and we hope to engage with many participants in discussing the future society that chemical engineering strives to create. Through this initiative, we aim to promote interdisciplinary research across the society and contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
