Energy and material use of biomass is attracting attention both as a carbon source and as a renewable energy source in the carbon-neutral society. Its use requires chemical engineering approaches based on thermochemical and biochemical approach. In this symposium, we will discuss technologies for effective use of biomass across technological boundaries.
