SY-68. [BE] [Symposium of Division of Biochemical Engineering] Medical-Engineering-Pharmaceutical Collaboration from Drug Discovery Support to Pharmacotherapy

Top > Application > Session SY-68

Organizer(s): Yoshimi Yasuo (Shibaura Inst. of Tech.), Kawai-Noma Shigeko (Chiba Univ.)

Cell generation, the fabrication of organ and tissue models, and the development of tools for evaluating efficacy and safety for drug discovery support, as well as formulation design, drug delivery systems (DDS), pharmacokinetics, personalized dosing, and therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), represent broad areas in which chemical engineering can contribute to medical and pharmaceutical challenges. This symposium will discuss future research directions and implementation possibilities through collaboration among medicine, engineering, and pharmacy, with a scope spanning from drug discovery support to pharmacotherapy.
