The Meeting is planning to be basically an "on-site" meeting. Part of the symposia are planning to be on-site/online hybrid sessions. (All general sessions (1-a to 14-e) will be onsite-only sessions.)

All presentations are requested to made at the ON-SITE venue, whereas the session is hybrid or not. If you want to make online presentation, please consult the Organizer of the session or the Organizing Committee before the application.

Applicant and speaker

  1. Applicant and speaker of SCEJ Annual Meeting must meet one of the following:

    • SCEJ honorary member
    • SCEJ regular member (incl. senior member and longtime member)
    • SCEJ student member (excl. junior member) (undergraduate and master-course students can apply to poster presentation only (Except for organized session).)
    • SCEJ education affiliate member
    • SCEJ international regular/associate member
    • SCEJ international student member (undergraduate and master-course students can apply to poster presentation only (Except for organized session).)
    • Employee of SCEJ special, charter, or local charter member
    • Individual member of co-organizing academic societies or institutes
    • Plenary speaker
    • Invited speaker
    • Requested speaker
    • Individual member of the following societies abroad:
      AIChE, CIESC, CSChE, DECHEMA, IIChE, KIChE, TwIChE (in alphabetical order) (undergraduate and master-course students can apply to poster presentation only (Except for organized session).)

    - Both the SCEJ Member and non-member can be an applicant and/or a speaker of IChES, but undergraduate or master-course student cannot make presentation on IChES.

  2. The applicant or the speaker who does not meet any of these requirements must join the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan before application or presentation, respectively.

    The speaker (except invited person) must register to attend the meeting. If the speaker (except invited person) will not complete both the registration to the meeting and the payment of the registration fee;
    SCEJ individual member (Both meetings): The on-site registration fee of the present meeting will be involved in the next bill of the SCEJ annual member fee.
    Other than SCEJ individual member (SCEJ Annual Meeting): We will send a letter to ask the speaker to join the SCEJ Individual Member, attached with a bill of the on-site registration fee. If the speaker will not join the SCEJ Individual Member, the speaker will not be able to become an applicant and/or a speaker of the presentation at the future SCEJ Annual and Autumn Meetings and IChES.
    Other than SCEJ individual member (IChES-only speaker): We will resend a bill of the on-site registration fee. If the speaker will not pay the fee, the speaker will not be able to become an applicant and/or a speaker of the presentation at the future IChES and SCEJ Annual and Autumn Meetings.

  3. Only papers which have not been published or presented elsewhere can be presented at the meeting.

Guideline of application on the web

Fill the application form and send it.

The received application form will be processed automatically and the processing result will be shown on the response page. If the application form is not in order, the problems will be shown (Sorry, in Japanese). In the case, go back to the application form page (use browser BACK button), correct the data, and send it again. If the application form is successfully accepted, the acknowledgement number will be sent to the e-mail addresses of the applicant and the group head which you specify in the application form.

The application form can be received only from 1st November 2024 by 11:59 pm of 22nd December 2024 (JST).

General notice

  1. The application is automatically processed by software. Be sure to check the processing result.

  2. An imperfect application form can not be accepted. In the case, the problems are shown. Correct the data and send the form again. If the application form is successfully accepted, the acknowledgement number is shown on the web page and also sent to the applicant by e-mail.

  3. Do not include any characters other than the ASCII characters such as Greek or accented characters, but Katanaka characters are acceptable in the Katakana name fields.

  4. The presentation program will be organized so that the speaker and group head do not appear at different rooms at the same time if they present more than one papers.

  5. The accepted applications are automatically listed on a web page. You can check the processing result of your application on the web.

  6. Correction of the submitted application can be made only by the application deadline on the correction form.

  7. In the title and abstract, you can use superscripts, subscripts, and italics by putting superscripts between two !'s, putting subscripts between two $'s, and putting italics between two #'s (e.g. H2O should be H$2$O, Re0.8 should be #Re#!0.8!). If you need these special characters themselves, type !! for !, type $$ for $, and type ## for #. In the keyword field, neither of superscript, subscript, nor italic can be used.

  8. The application form can be altered by the processing system or the Organizing Committee.

Correction of submitted application form

You can make correction to your application form that has been submitted. The correction can be made on the web until the application deadline. Go to the ‘Correction of submitted application form’ page.


Cancel of application

If you want to cancel your Application, please send an e-mail to the Organizing Committee ().


Exception to lack of novelty of invention

Regarding the patent application including an invention presented at the SCEJ Meeting, contact the Organizing Committee .
