SCEJ Trans-Division Symposium
ST-21 Frontiers of Data-driven Research and Development <Live/Virtual> -
Sep. 16 (Fri) 9:00-17:00 Hall DC (Program)
Data science has been rapidly developing in recent years as the fourth science following experimental science, theoretical science, and computational science. The early realization of a data-driven society led by data science has been recognized as a key to international competitiveness. This symposium will have speakers who are making pioneering efforts toward a data-driven society from various viewpoints and discuss future research and development.Organizers SHIMADA Iori (Shinshu Univ.) In this symposium, we call for lectures on energy devices and related energy conversion technologies such as fuel cell, solar cell, secondary battery. We accept lectures widely from the view point of nano-scaled material development as well as energy system. Furthermore, we plan to discuss about the "Model Base Development", "New Fabrication Process" and "New energy conversion". In addition to oral presentations category, poster presentations are also welcomed in a separate category for those who want to discuss thoroughly. In the poster presentation category, excellent presentations by students will be awarded. Furthermore, a session of manufacturing and process of fuel cell will be held in the afternoon of Day2.Organizers INOUE Gen (Kyushu Univ.) FUKUNAGA Hiroshi (Shinshu Univ.) Dry processes such as CVD and ALD have become important core technologies in various fields such as electronics, energy devices, and functional coatings. In this symposium, the reaction mechanisms of thin film formation, fine particle synthesis, and microfabrication using dry processes will be understood from the viewpoint of reaction engineering, and rational and efficient reaction processes and reaction devices will be discussed. The CVD Reaction Subdivision Incentive Award will be presented to the young researcher who makes the best presentation.Organizers NODA Suguru (Waseda Univ.) Long-term issues such as social healthcare costs, short-term issues such as the stable supply of vaccines and therapeutic agents, and advanced technological issues such as regenerative medicine, and personalized medicine - In order to solve these issues, a methodology is needed to reimagine the ideal state of medicine and pharma. In this symposium, we will discuss the role of systems approaches for such reimagination, by learning from modeling, simulation, evaluation/optimization researches. There will be discussions on a research on companion diagnostics conducted by Sub-division of Systems Med&Pharma in Division of Systems, Information and Simulation.Organizers SUGIYAMA Hirokazu (Univ. of Tokyo) OHTA Seiichi (Univ. of Tokyo) YAHAGI Naohisa (Keio Univ.) Plasma processing has attracted extensive attention for novel material processing, environmental application, and energy application. It has been utilized for a number of innovative industrial applications, but no systematic study of processes has been made at present. This symposium motivates to discuss the basic as well as applications of plasma processing based on chemical engineering approach. Outstanding student award will be given to distinguished young speakers at the session.Organizers WATANABE Takayuki (Kyushu Univ.) KAMBARA Shinji (Gifu Univ.)
