SS-1 A New Resource Recycling Society through the Chemical Industry -Technological Innovation and New Supply Chain-

Organizers: Nakayama Yasushi (Mitsui Chemicals), Agata Ryosuke (Mitsubishi Chemical), Sugiyama Tamotsu (Resonac), Hanamitsu Taizo (Toyo Engineering), Maeda Haruhiko (Sumitomo Bakelite), Ogawa Tomohiro (Kobelco Eco-Solutions), Honma Tomoki (Tsukishima Kikai), Nagumo Ryo (Nagoya Inst. of Tech.)

The chemical industry has been creating new products and technologies one after another to provide comfort in people's lives, but recently it has had a major impact on the depletion of resources, energy issues, and environmental problems. Resource recycling activities are being promoted, but will we really be able to connect our affluent lifestyles to the next generation at the current pace?
In this session, we will introduce the latest trends of challengers who are promoting the development of technologies unique to the chemical industry to address these pressing issues and the construction of new supply chains for resource recycling.
