SY-71 [Symposium of Division of Biochemical Engineering]
Culture Technologies for Advanced Cells and Tissues, and Related Technologies Contributing to Future Medicine and Drug Development

Organizers: Yamahira Shinya (Osaka Univ.), Horiguchi Ikki (Osaka Univ.), Akiyama Hirokazu (Nagoya Univ.)

Research using iPS cells, primary cultured cells, organoids, etc., which provide models that closely mimic original biological functions and pathological conditions, and cellular medicines that have been modified from these cells for medical use, is expected to make a significant contribution to future medicine and drug discovery. In this symposium, we invite a wide range of research on chemical engineering approaches, such as research using these advanced cells and tissues, culture techniques and simulations for their effective use, to promote the sharing of insights and discussions.
